Situated on the south shore of the largest alpine lake in North America.

The South Shore offers planners an inventory of well-known casino hotels, lodging chains and independent properties, with over 100,000 sq. ft. of dedicated, flexible meeting space, which provide settings for intimate to medium groups and medium to large events. In addition to the professional meetings staff at each property, the sales team at Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority is here to assist planners with pinpointing the right venues and their contacts. They’ll also arrange site tours, provide promotional area photography and help planners create a memorable meeting with diverse, off-site activities and events.

Attendees will discover that Lake Tahoe South Shore is a high-energy, fun-loving mountain destination. The hotel-casino resorts and top-name lodging properties that span the California/Nevada border light up a visitor’s evenings with major-label headliners, thrumming nightclubs and happening pubs. Nearby, the Heavenly Gondola ushers skiers and boarders up the mountain to tackle Heavenly’s massive two-state resort. Summertime visitors can also take the trip "up the hill" on the Gondola to enjoy stunning vistas and nosh at the mountainside restaurant.

The South Shore shares many of the same outdoor pursuits as its northern cousin, but planners may embellish a group’s experience by including a cultural activity at Valhalla at Tahoe or challenging their members’ skills at five great golf courses in close proximity. Courses range from the host site of the American Celebrity Golf Tournament with Lake Tahoe as an emerald backdrop to meadow-like courses with majestic Sierra views.
